We are glad you came to visit our site. If you are looking for a Church Home, we invite you to look around and see what's happening at Balfour. God is doing exciting things here! We have a place for you and your family no matter what your age or ability. God can use you in mighty and awesome ways and we'd love to be a part of His plan in your life. • Join us Sunday, January 29th, immediately following the morning worship service, for a Hot Dog luncheon fundraiser sponsored by the youth at Balfour. This is a donation only fundraiser.
• 2011 Tithing Records will be available for pickup at the information table beside the church office on January 22nd.
• Join Ms. Meredith for story time in our Media Center on Thursday, January 26th, at 10:00am, for a story, craft project, and snack. Preschool, elementary age kids, and parents are all welcome to come!
• Executive Team Meeting of the Carolina Baptist Association will be held on January 31st, at 7:00pm.

To help us with this process, if you have any pictures of church events, the building itself, etc that you would allow us to use on the website, please put them on a CD and give them to Rev. Travis Harrison, Rev. John Wagner or Jonathan Lutz. Also, please take time to look at the various pages we have created. If you have information that you would like to see added to these, please let us know.

John Wagner, whom currently serves as our worship leader, was ordained this morning, September 25th. Our church family is excited for him! Please keep Rev. John and his family in your prayers as they continue to seek God's will for their lives. Rev. John will continue to bless us with his musical talents leading the worship ministry. Congratulations!

Great Job Youth!

Our youth group signed up to decorate a horse stall at the 2011 NC Mountain State Fair. They won 2nd place out of approx. 30 stalls!

Rather than going extravagant, they chose instead to send a message. The booth contained one table and 1 poster sitting on the table. The poster read as follows:

Does your life feel void and meaningless, much like this stall? We could have lavishly decorated, and stimulated your senses. However, that excited feeling would have only lasted a moment. At Balfour Baptist Church, we are committed to showing you the only way you can find everlasting meaning for your life, through our one and only Savior, Jesus Christ. If you would like to know more, please take a flier and visit us on Sunday Morning. We promise your life will never be the same again.

We put two bible verses at the bottom, Romans 3:23 and John 14:6. We also placed fliers about our church and what we have to offer. It was only through God that the judges looked favorably on our stall. Now with a large Red Ribbon on the front of the stall, hopefully more people will be attracted to go in and read the message and take a flier. Lets pray that God will bring some of them to visit our church!
